Captain Samuel Truelove, mariner of Wapping Wall, supporter of Cromwell died in 1661.
He left his White Horse Street property, on the corner of Salmon Lane and White Horse Street
to the Stepney Meeting or Body of Independants and to his nephew.

In 1650 Richard and Henry Truelove of Ipswich filed Petition on behalf of themselves and others
as heirs at law to Thomas Causton, late of Thunderley Essex. Thomas was burnt as a heretic by
Philip and Mary. Thomas Causton surrendered all copyholds in Tillingham to the use of his son William.
William's only sister married William Truelove, the petitioner's grandfather.
The petitioners supported Parliament in the civil war, 1650.
